NORTH Vancouver Mounties, including Const. Stephen Jardine (left), were involved in the seizure of 1,200 marijuana plants after a search warranted was executed in a rented industrial unit in the lower Mountain Highway area on June 11. Const. Marina Wilks believes it is the North Shore's biggest grow-op bust with each plant netting around 100 grams (3.5 ounces) of the drug per harvest. Arrests are expected.

WV rejects selling foreshore
WEST Vancouver District council rejected a homeowner's application to purchase filled foreshore and questioned the process that allowed the neighbouring property owner to construct a concrete retaining wall and large fill area beyond the property lines.
